News-Gazette (Oct. 10) – Champaign County Board members signed off on an agreement between the county’s animal-control department and the University of Illinois Small Animal Clinic for a new sterilization service for dogs and cats owned by county residents. Animal control would make the appointments and collect the fee, and UI veterinary medicine students would perform the surgeries, using a mobile trailer unit about twice a month.
