There is a great opportunity for anyone who wants it to work with Dr. John Cirabassi, boarded behaviorist and DVM. He works in the chicagoland area and is more than willing and excited to have vet students shadow him for a behavior externship.
He is willing to take on fourth year students for two week externships or first or second years for a partial summer externship. It is unpaid and you would need to find your own transportation and housing, but it would be a truly amazing experience.
If you are interested, please e-mail Dr. Cirabassi personally. He will be expecting e-mails from behavior club members. If you want more information, you can also check out the website: www.chicagovetbehavior.com
Anybody who wishes to volunteer by interacting with the animals at CCHS needs to go through our full volunteer program. There is a minimum commitment which differs depending on the Volunteer Project that you are interested in. Many of them are 3 hours per week and they are all for a minimum of 4 months.
