Petstravaganza Sat Apr 25, 2009 9:00 am - 2:00 pm U of I ACES Campus We will demonstrate the use of gentle leaders for dogs, and give demonstrations on positive reinforcement based training using dogs and treats. It is important to appreciate animal behavior as a way to communicate effectively with our pets and the animals we come in contact with every day. Being able to recognize normal animal behavior and discerning that from the behavior of a sick or stressed animal will help us better take care of our companion animals, and to stay safe around them.
