Dr. Sarah Allison, Class of 2001, has been selected for the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges’ Public Policy Faculty Fellows Program. This newly created, six- to eight-week program is designed to bring faculty from AAVMC-member institutions to Washington D.C. The fellows will work with the AAVMC’s Advocacy Committee and with Governmental Affairs to interact with federal agencies and policymakers. They will also attend congressional hearings and coalition meetings.
Dr. Allison is a clinical assistant professor for the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and is the assistant director of the University of Illinois Division of Animal Resources.
