About Donations for Dutchess Jones
Dutchess Jones, a cat that was severely burned in a house fire in September, has been steadily improving at the University of Illinois Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Thanks to generous gifts from animal lovers around the world, the cost of her care has been completely covered, and no additional donations are needed on her behalf.
Donations for Dutchess were deposited through the Pascoe Fund, which was established at the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 to help cats needing emergency medical treatment. This fund has been used to pay for medical expenses related to Dutchess's burn treatment. After Dutchess no longer requires our care for her injuries, any funds remaining in the Pascoe Fund will be put toward the care of other cats in need.
