Administrative Shared Services in the College of Veterinary Medicine

  • Budget and Reporting
  • The Budget and Reporting office manages College funding; coordinates and facilitates the annual budget process; provides specialized business analyses and report development; and responds to requests for College data by compiling, analyzing and reporting data to Campus, the University and outside organizations. 

  • Business Service Center
  • The Business Service Center (BSC) is responsible for the processing of all business transactions for the College. The BSC prepares reimbursement vouchers, process i-Buy orders, reconcile Pcard transactions, reconcile accounts, maintain electronic files, and perform other business processing-related duties. The BSC is responsible for training new staff on procedures such as how to place an order in i-Buy. 

  • Computing Services
  • The Computing Services staff provides strategic direction for the College’s core infrastructure services in support of computing, networking, and application development for over 850 computers and servers, including support for student computer labs. They serve as liaisons to CITES and AITS staff and management. Specifically, their college scope encompasses VETSTAR and VADDS support for the operations of the Teaching Hospital and Diagnostic Laboratory, application development in information systems, Web programming, system administration including the network operating systems, e-mail, shared file space and printing, application servers, network design and maintenance, data security, videoconferencing, and desktop support.

  • Design Group
  • The Design Group @ Vet Med provides a variety of products and services, including instructional course design and support, animations, illustration, and graphic and publication design, for the College as well as campus units. 

  • Facilities
  • The facilities office oversees the day to day management operation for all CCM properties. Our principle responsibilities are the coordination of; maintenance by University Facilities and Services (F&S), Planning Design and Construction for new or renovated space, Shipping and Receiving for Basic Sciences Bldg., and inventory control for over 12,000 equipment items. Other responsibilities include the management of building security, hazardous materials receiving, space allocation data, and college vehicles.

  • Grants and Contracts
  • The Grants and Contracts Office assists faculty with the proposal process, providing pre- and post-award services, and locating funding opportunities.

  • HR Service Center
  • HR Service Center (HRSC) works closely with department and units to process employee appointment transactions, payroll processing, employee visa processing, and new hire data. In addition, the HRSC provides employment policy and compliance guidance and training and facilitate labor and employee relations.
